Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi Receives Medal of Honor from the French President

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi received today Thursday the Medal of Honor which is the highest honorary decoration in France.

The medal was presented to His Excellency, Prime Minster Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhimi by the French Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Eric Chevallier, on behalf of the French President Emmanuel Macron. It is one of the highest levels of honorary medals granted by the French Republic to its partners and friends.

Mr. Al-Kadhimi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the French president, for France’s efforts in support of Iraq and the democratic process.

During the meeting, they discussed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, at the forefront of which is the economic and security cooperation, and the support for investment and the participation of French companies in this sector.

The Prime Minister expressed Iraq’s openness to cooperation with all brotherly and friendly countries, in a manner that serves the sustainable development and the consolidation of stability in Iraq and the region.
